What to bring to your yoga classes…

First, it’s always important to bring water or your favorite hydrating liquid to yoga. You will get a good workout and it’s always important to stay hydrated. This can be as simple as some bottled water, or you can put your favorite drink in one of these which will keep it warm/cold throughout your class.

Next, you need a yoga mat. You’ll need a firm grip on the floor so a good yoga mat is important. When just starting out in yoga you can buy a simple yoga mat from your local retailer or you can opt for one of the beginner mats such as the Amazon basics mat here…

My personal favorite mat, and one that many of my friends use as well, is by Manduka. Their mats are very high quality, last a very long time (I use mine every day), and come in lots of colors and a longer size. Here is an example of a Manduka mat.

The last thing on the list of required items is a simple towel because you’re going to sweat! You can use a simple hand towel or get a yoga specific towel such as this one. Some of these towel are the same size as your yoga mat so you can cover the mat while you are working out.
